San Diego United Veterans Council
About the San Diego United Veterans Council
The United Veterans Council is an "AD HOC" gathering of Veterans Organizations and of those agencies that provide services to Veterans that meet by mutual consent.
The main purpose of the UVC is to be a clearing house for information concerning the San Diego Veterans Community, with the idea that such information will be passed down to the front lines of every Veterans Organization.
Secondly, the UVC acts as an interface to coordinate the various Veterans activities in San Diego County, such as the Veterans Day Parade and Veterans Day activities, Memorial Day Ceremonies, Stand Down, the Veterans Ball, and other ceremonies or parades.
The United Veterans Council has no formal bylaws or prescribed dues, therefore no chartered organization should be barred from participating. We do ask participating organizations to make a donation of $50.00 annually, or whatever an organization can afford to donate. The donation money is used to pay the monthly rental of the meeting room and to defray administrative costs.
The United Veterans Council encourages the Commander/President to either attend the monthly meeting or to appoint a representative to attend to represent the organization.
The monthly meeting minutes are published each month, electronically to those that have e-mail. The minutes are also available on the UVC web site.
If your organization is not currently represented on the United Veterans Council, we invite you to complete and submit our contact us form.
The United Veterans Council looks forward to your participation.
